Rodeo is America!
The Reno Rodeo is the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West” and a premier stop on the Pro Rodeo Tour.
With 10 exciting nights of rodeo competition, the 96th annual Reno Rodeo is one of the premier stops on the Pro Rodeo Tour. More than 700 contestants compete and over $2.5 million in prize money is paid out! The action isn't all about the competition however as there is a full carnival, Double RR Marketplace, food court and lots of other events.
The celebration begins June 18 with the Cattle Drive arriving at the rodeo grounds and the PRCA Xtreme Bulls, one night of Pro bull riding as 40 cowboys compete for $40,000 cash. June 19 starts the first of 9 pro rodeo performances with PRCA events including: Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Women's Professional Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling and Tie-Down Roping. Fans are guaranteed to see the World's top 15 cowboys compete in each event for cash prizes and the coveted Reno Rodeo Silver Spurs.
See the world’s richest amateur team roping, the Reno Rodeo Invitational Amateur Team Roping Competition with a $1,000,000 purse and the world's richest pro team roping, the Bob Feist Invitational for professional ropers with a purse of over $800,000. Other events during the rodeo week are Drill Team competitions and Team Penning and Cutting.
Family fun day and night with mutton bustin, kids day, a junior roping challenge, a full carnival, Double RR Marketplace cowboy country shops with over 150 vendors, wiener dog races and a food court with plenty of great eatin'.
